Tim Elwin, an Australian Accredited & multiple award winning professional photographer and producer, mostly floating out at sea in the dark hours of dawn either with his camera, wishing he had his surfboard, or with his surfboard, wishing he had my camera.
Tim specialises in Lifestyle, Fashion & Portrait Photography, however it’s in the water at dawn where his talents really shine with his work often merging between photograph & a painting.
Thankful to be alive after a horrific motorcycle accident in 2018, which left among other injuries, a predominately disabled leg. Not knowing whether he’d walk or surf again, Tim’s connection with the water pushed him through rehabilitation to get him back on his feet & back into the water doing what he loves best, shooting the sunrise & those people who brave the often cold & windy waters at dawn to start their day in the most vigorous of ways!
Spending months in hospitals & wheelchairs drove him (excuse the pun) to set up a social initiative called “Print For Print” which donates 50% of all his art sales to installing free biophilic fine art photography into the public hospitals. He has a goal to fill every room in every Australian public hospital with calming, inspirational art to support the mental health of patients and staff. Please support this initiative.
